The Road Traffic Infringement Agency (RTIA) aims to administer a procedure to discourage the contravention of road traffic laws and to support the adjudication of infringements, enforce penalties imposed against persons who defy road traffic laws, provide specialised prosecution support services, and undertake community education and community awareness programmes in order to ensure that individuals understand their rights and options. RTIA works specifically to increase community understanding of the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences (AARTO) process, which allow individuals to query and pay fines, review his/her options, and make representation to indicate why he or she should not be liable for a penalty.

Objective

The Road Traffic Infringement Agency (RTIA) required mobile offices in order to bring AARTO services closer to road-user communities. They aimed to utilise the units to educate and increase AARTO public awareness, with the goal of encouraging compliance with road traffic laws. Ultimately, the implementation of the programme will contribute towards making South African roads safer.

Our Solution

Mobile Processing Solutions have provided RTIA with three mobile offices, each consisting of five one-on-one workstations, staff comfort necessities and continuous connectivity.
